Emergency or scheduled? Write your site so AI assistants send the right calls

A burst pipe and a bathroom remodel quote are different jobs. Spell out which you take and when, and assistants can route people correctly.

Most plumbing sites say "24/7 service" somewhere in the header and leave the rest to the phone. That works for a person who calls. It doesn't work for an assistant trying to answer a specific question like "Is there a plumber open right now for a burst pipe?" or "Who does tankless water heater installs on weekends?"

Say exactly what "emergency" means for you

Pick your real policy and write it down in one place. For example:

If you don't do nights, say so. An honest "we answer emergency calls until 10 p.m." is more useful to an assistant, and to a homeowner, than a vague "24/7" that sends people to voicemail.

Put it in your structured data too

Schema.org lets you list opening hours by day. Use openingHoursSpecification for your scheduled hours, and describe emergency availability on the page and in your llms.txt. Keep both in step whenever your hours change.

Give each kind of job its own clear path

When those two paths are obvious, an assistant can say "call now" or "request a quote" with confidence. That's the whole idea of being bot-ready: AI assistants can find you and request a quote, and the right calls reach you.

Price ranges help (if you're comfortable sharing them)

Homeowners ask assistants "how much does it cost to replace a water heater?" If you publish honest ranges or a service-call fee, you give the assistant something accurate to repeat. If you'd rather quote every job, say "free estimates" plainly so it doesn't guess.

The Bot-Ready weekly

One short email a week for plumbing shop owners: what AI assistants are doing, one fix you can make in 10 minutes, and nothing else.

Not connected yet: nothing is saved until we pick a list tool. When it opens: one email a week, unsubscribe any time.
